It has now been fourteen years since the cowardly terrorist attack on the World Trade Center ripped Wendy and so many other innocent Americans from the people who love them. In the time that has elapsed, we have tried very sincerely to honor Wendy through this little charitable foundation we started on 9/16/01 in her memory.
As more time passes, fewer people remember that awful day, the many loved ones lost and consequently - fewer folks make donations to charities like Wendy's. We have probably contributed to this effect because of our instinctive reluctance to ask people for donations. After all, fundraising is nothing more than nicely asking people to donate their hard-earned money.
Also because of our unwillingness to hire professional fundraisers like most charities utilize (who keep much or most of the money you contribute in payment) it grows increasingly difficult to significantly assist the poor, orphaned and street children we are pledged to helping in Wendy's memory.
Nothing has changed. Every dime donated is directly used to help needy kids with nothing ever used for salaries or fundraising. We will never do anything different. For those who continue supporting our mission - we sincerely thank you. Over these 14 years now, many hundreds of needy children have benefitted from your generousity. Our goal is to continue doing exactly that for as long as that can be done.
Please also consider this easy and absolutely painless way to help us continue this important work. Amazon.com, Hotels.com, Harry & David and many, many websites you probably shop at regularly will donate a tiny portion of THEIR profits (you pay nothing more) if you will simply register your desire to support The Wendy Faulkner Memorial Children's Foundation atwww.Goodsearch.com.
Please also remember that we are an Internal Revenue Service approved 501c3 non-for-profit charity which means your generous cash donations are fully tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Please consider helping us keep assisting many needy children while honoring the memory of a truly generous, amazing and lovely woman.
God bless and thank you for visiting our site!
