The Russian House in Chennai will host a Russian Government Scholarship Program 2022-23 webinar with leading Russian universities at 4 p.m. on November 29. If you are interested and want to study in Russia, you will get all the scholarship related information, application process, available programs and other details during the webinar.

In addition, two Russian universities will make presentations on the courses offered under a scholarship, the facilities of the universities and an overview of student life. The participating universities are Ulfa State Aviation Technical University and Russian State Hydrometeorological University.

Each year, 100 scholarships are exclusively available for Indian students. Among them, at least 20 are from Tamil Nadu. MBBS, Engineering, Aviation, Atomic Sciences, and Russian Language are some of the courses chosen by Indian students. Russia offers globally recognized education, affordable housing, sports facilities, student discounts on public transport, museums, places of interest, etc. Over 2,000,000 foreign students study in Russia each year.

The Russian government’s scholarship program invites more than 15,000 foreign students every year. It offers completely free courses for the duration of the studies for a foreign student. In addition to tuition fees, students also receive a nominal allowance. The scholarship is funded by the Russian government and includes one year of preparatory faculty so that foreign students can learn the Russian language, if their course is in Russian. Over 200 fields of study are offered under this scholarship and a student can pursue bachelor’s, master’s, specialty and doctoral studies under this scholarship.

To register for the scholarship, log on to the website https://education-in-russia.com. Registration is free, there is no cost to apply for the scholarship and no eligibility exam is performed. A student must choose their program, their preferred universities and upload their data to complete their application for competitive selection.
