Japanese Government Scholarship 2022 now open

The Japanese Information and Cultural Center (JICC) of the Embassy of Japan is now accepting applications for the Teacher Education and Japanese Studies categories of the Japanese Government Scholarship Program 2022 (Monbukagakusho).

To be eligible for the Teacher Education category, an applicant must be a Filipino citizen under the age of 35 and be an elementary or secondary school teacher, or an academic staff member of a teacher training institution, with five years of experience. in teaching and good academic results.

The fields of study are educational management, educational methods, special subjects and observational study, among others.

For the Japanese Studies category, the candidate must be a Filipino citizen between the ages of 18-29, have a degree in Japanese studies, have a good knowledge of the Japanese language, and have a good academic record.

Fields of study include Japanese language, life and culture, as well as related subjects.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 21, 2022. Only hard copies, printed on A4 size paper and mailed to the Embassy will be accepted.

The application process consists of a preliminary document review, written exams and an interview.
